"Labour want everyone to vote for them to keep out the BNP but it is the Liberal Democrats who are challenging Labour in Yorkshire & the Humber," said MEP Diana Wallis, who is also a Vice President of the European Parliament. Starting her campaign for re-election, the President of Haltemprice & Howden Lib Dems & MEP for Yorkshire & the Humber, Diana was speaking on Saturday the 2nd of May.

At the campaign launch in Hull at the Methodist Church in Princes St, Diana underlined the importance of the European Parliament as the source of 75% of the new laws for the European Union. The big issues of the day, from Climate Change & Global Warming to organised crime & people trafficking cannot be successfully tackled unless individual nations work together.

Rated as the Greenest MEP in Yorkshire & the Humber by top experts, Diana has highlighted the danger to us all posed by the changes in the Arctic. She is calling for international help to protect us.
