Harrogate Conference is a Huge Success

Tim Farron gets into his stride in his warm up act
It was John Fox, Liberal Democrat Mayor of Harrogate, who wittily welcomed the delegates who made it in time to get to the gilded Royal Hall for their free drinks. In tune with the local school brass band which enlivened the proceedings John made sure the conference got off to an excellent start.
Then with a warm up worthy of a professional comedian Tim Farron MP for Westmoreland & Lonsdale gave a tremendous performance as he introduced Chris Rennard, Lib Dem elections supremo, Ros Scott, our new President, Elaine Bagshaw speaking for LD Youth & Meekal Hashmir a new recruit who explained why he had become a Liberal Democrat. We shall be hearing much more from all of them in the near future.
Nick cares passionately about all our futures
Finally Nick Clegg was given a tremendous welcome as he painted a brilliant picture of the crises we find ourselves in and the opportunities they present for the Liberal Democrat message to bring about a fairer, rejuvenated & greener Britain.
