Charles Kennedy & Denis Healy with a prize exhibit
Charles Kennedy MP, leader of the Lib Dems from 1999 -2006, was given a conducted tour of Hull University's Engineering Dept on Thursday 26th of February. His first port of call meant looking closely at how skulls are constructed by nature. Professor Fagan told him that copying their physical properties may be very useful in providing protective coverings.
Charles Kennedy & Denis Healy with Hull Engineering Department
Charles had been introduced to the work of the department by Denis Healy, PPC for Hull North who has strong connections with the university's engineers.
Later he was shown some of the work being done in extracting electrical energy from people in motion and from our coastal waters. Our future prosperity will depend on using clean energy & it is the research being done in universities like Hull which will show us where to find it.
