'No Parking Charges' Campaign Takes Off In Anlaby

"Anlaby shoppers couldn't sign our 'No Parking Charges' petition fast enough today," said Lib Dem Councillor MaryRose Hardy. "The East Riding Council must take notice of the enormous strength of feeling against these parking charge proposals. Local traders are up in arms about it and many shop workers now fear for their jobs."

"The council claims that making charges is not to raise money but to make it equal for everybody," said Lib Dem Councillor Mary Kingston, "but the supermarkets don't charge so they will get the benefit."
"Make parking free for everyone," says Stewart Arnold.
" And if all they want to do is to make it an even playing field for all the traders in the East Riding as they say, they can make parking free for everyone!" said Stewart Arnold a prospective Lib Dem MEP candidate.
