David Nolan elected PPC for Haltemprice & Howden Liberal Democrats

Haltemprice & Howden Liberal Democrats have elected David Nolan to be their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) to take on David Davis MP at the next General Election. He was selected in a ballot of party members at a Hustings meeting in Cottingham Saturday the 1st of December and officially confirmed on Thursday the 7th.

David said,"It is a great privilege and honour to be selected. I am looking forward to the challenge of taking on the Tories at the next election. We will highlight the failure of the Conservative-run East Riding Council to control its spending and attack above -inflation Council Tax rises because they cause misery for local pensioners and people on low incomes."

David has a great deal of experience as a campaigner. He is a former Group Leader, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats on the East Riding Council as well as having been Planning Chairman. He has served as a councillor for 16 years.

David has previously stood for Parliament in the Yorkshire Area and has received the Liberal Democrat Election Agent of the year award. He is Chair of the Haltemprice Skate Park, has spoken out at the Hull March against Climate Change and is currently campaigning against the closure of local Post Offices.

David has lived in North Ferriby with his wife Sarah for 18 years. Their three children all attend local schools and David runs his own Consultancy business.
